The dress rosa arch was pretty good, but it would have been better if it was like 50 episodes shorter. They really went overboard with stretching the run time.

If you're saying that about Dressrosa, I wonder what you gonna say about Wano or Whole Cake. 50 episodes shorter is way too extreme. What would you want them to cut out? Dressrosa itself is a whole story and saga built up from Punk Hazard. It had to be as long. Matter of fact, some of the fights were even shorter than they should have been. So again... where should have been cut?

Dude, it's talked about by everyone that they had too many flashbacks in this arc that weren't in the manga and could have been cut. On top of that, the final battle dragged on for way too long and while I know wano is the same, it still doesn't make it fun. I absolutely love one piece, but because I love it so much, I'm able to point out it's flaws and accept that it's not perfect.

No, I haven't heard anybody else say it should be 50 episodes shorter. The only thing I heard close to that was the usual complaints from weekly readers in literally every arc in the post timeskip. Especially when Oda goes on breaks. That's not really a flaw in the story moreso than content creators being impatient. And I still don't know what flashbacks you're talking about. Its after the Doffy fight ended that they started to do the Kyros/ Rebecca flashbacks a bit too much. And even then those scenes put together still wouldn't take up more than 1 full episode worth of screen time. Before that, all the flashbacks we got were necessary. Kyros as the toy soldier: necessary. Kyros as his human self: necessary. Rebecca: necessary. Viola: necessary. Senor Pink: necessary. Doffy: necessary. Law: necessary. Sabo: necessary.

I can't point a single flashback scene or episode before the final fight that was unnecessary or at the very least too dragging. And you saying the final battle dragged on too much is perplexing and makes me wonder if you actually love the One Piece story as a whole or just small snippets of it. Because when it came down a 1v1 scenario, it was not as long as other fights before or after.

Exactly. But its really only a minority or the fans that feel entitled to the point where they have to find something wrong. There have been legitimate moments in the series that warrants some complaint. Like the ending of the Wano arc. But this guy saying Dressrosa was 50 episodes too long when in truth it probably could have been longer...is borderline idiotic. The arc in itself is like a diverse fantasy novel.

loved this. have seen this happen too much. Don't know why people feel the need to attack others for their pov's just because they differ. I read in a psychology paper that it has something to do with them feeling that their pride, or who they are is being threatened if they are wrong. it's very sad

I don't know how old you are. But I'll tell you this much. I grew up knowing you can't just say random shit with no basis or facts to back it up and expect to not get called out on it. That's weak and not how any genuine debate works. I can point to Wano and say yeah without a doubt these 20+ chapters could have been cut. Or to a next instant and say here could have been longer. None of the credible content creators/ critics have said anything close to FIFTY Dressrosa chapters/ episodes that could have been removed. Way off. GrandLineReview, Rogersbase, Tekking101, BDA Law, KingOfLightning, IMD King etc etc. The only negative sentiment that is shared throughout the community came from either weekly reading due to Oda's breaks. For the manga. Or some of the animation art. For the anime.
